Hi Adventure

Editorial Design

Challenge

To celebrate 20 years of the RTMF movement and the legacy of Hi Adventure Lodge, established in 1997 as a central hub for skate and surf culture in Florianópolis, an editorial project was created to capture the essence of this history.

The magazine needed to tell the story of icons and pioneers like skateboarders Leo Kakinho and Pedro Barros, while also giving a voice to the new generation keeping the spirit of skateboarding and surfing alive in Rio Tavares. The goal was to produce a publication that honored the movement's history while presenting a contemporary and authentic perspective on the cultural universe surrounding RTMF.

Solution

The magazine was structured with an editorial line that embraced all facets of the local culture:

  • Skate On Fire for skateboarding,
  • Surf Bomb for surfing,
  • Food Pitstop for gastronomy,
  • High Session for art, and
  • Hi Adv Moment for the day-to-day life at the lodge.

We conducted interviews with key figures from both the past and present scene, capturing Florianópolis’ deep connection to sports, art, and coastal living. The editorial design emphasized a dynamic visual language, bridging the traditions of Hi Adventure with its contemporary energy. The publication celebrates its role as a cultural epicenter for skateboarding and surfing, not just in Brazil but globally.
